چکیده
The Trans-European Suture Zone (TESZ) is the most important and extensive continental suture in Europe, marking edge of East European Craton (EEC), from North Sea to Black Sea. It corresponds significant changes surface geology deep crustal structure, evident seismic, gravitational magnetic studies. However, TESZ disappears beneath Eastern Carpathians accretionary nappes Neotethys ophiolites, thrusted over subducted EEC passive margin Romania that may have experienced progressive southward break-off generating post-collisional volcanism anomalous seismicity Vrancea region South-East Carpathians. To illuminate missing section investigate change properties Precambrian across collisional orogen impact related volcanism, we determined a 3D seismic model P S wave velocities Romania. Widespread Archean basement beneath the Yangtze craton
The age distribution of the crust is a fundamental parameter in modeling continental evolution and the rate of crustal accretion through Earth’s history, but this is usually estimated from surface exposures. The exposed Yangtze craton in eastern China consists mainly of Proterozoic rocks with rare Archean outcrops. However, the U-Pb ages and Hf isotope systematics of xenocrystic zircons brought...
متن کاملLithospheric structure of the Pilbara Craton, Capricorn Orogen and northern Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia, from teleseismic receiver functions
The upper lithospheric structure from the Pilbara Craton, across the Capricorn Orogen, to the northern Yilgarn Craton is determined from high-fidelity broadband seismic data. Three-component temporary stations were deployed in a line running southwards from Marble Bar, Western Australia, at approximately 118 E longitude. They were in position between July and October 2000. Receiver functions ar...
متن کاملCrustal structure of the Kaapvaal craton and its significance for early crustal evolution
High-quality seismic data obtained from a dense broadband array near Kimberley, South Africa, exhibit crustal reverberations of remarkable clarity that provide well-resolved constraints on the structure of the lowermost crust and Moho. Receiver function analysis of Moho conversions and crustal multiples beneath the Kimberley array shows that the crust is 35 km thick with an average Poisson’s ra...

15 صفحه اولthe effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends
flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
